Are you prepared for ACI highway e-Manifest? Advanced Commercial Information system or ACI is an initiative of the Canada Border Services Agency that requires highway carriers to process an electronic manifest (e-Manifest) with information about the crew, conveyance, equipment and complete shipment details a minimum of one hour prior to the arrival of the truck at the border crossing. This data will be processed through a targeting tool to detect high-risk shipments in advance of clearance. Carriers arriving without having complied with this requirement will be subject to delays, AMPS penalties and/or refused entry into Canada.
ACI requires key data to be transmitted electronically before the goods are loaded at the port of departure.
